Toggle Inkscape Welcome Dialog

Inkscape 1.2 comes with a welcome dialog which will show on each launch, provided you have not turned it off. In this training we will look at how to enable or disable the welcome dialog from showing up on launch.

Above is the splash screen in question. In the lower left area of the splash screen in a checkbox titled "Show this every time". Unchecking this option will disable the splash screen from reappearing each time you launch Inkscape. This will open Inkscape itself, with whatever default template has been set. But let's say you want to re-enable this to show on each launch.

The setting to re-enable is located under Preferences (Edit > Preferences). Then expand Interface on the left navigation and click Windows. Under Miscellaneous click the Show Welcome Dialog option. Closing out Inkscape and relaunching will once again show the Welcome Dialog option.
